READING: Our story this week is Brave Dog; vocabulary words: lunch: a meal that is eaten midday between breakfast and dinner; tower: a tall, narrow building often attached beside or on top of another building; lobster a red, clawed sea creature that is used for food by humans; cover: to put something on top of something; wave: a long body of water curling in an arch and breaking on the shore; castle a large building with thick walls, towers and moat (deep, wide ditch) around the outside; high frequency words: before, into, out, red, sleep; map and retell; context – unfamiliar words; illustrations, setting.
